Ingredients (meatballs)
1 1/2 lb ground pork
4 slices crumbled white bread (without crusts)
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Ingredients (sauce)
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp flour
1 1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup 35% cooking cream
1 tsp dijon mustard
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 450°F and place the grill in the middle.
Pour the milk over the bread and soak for about 5 minutes.
Add the pork, egg, onion, garlic powder and nutmeg.
Mix well.
Shape the meatballs and place on a lightly oiled baking sheet.
Oil the meatballs with a brush.
Cook for about 20 minutes or until the meatballs are golden brown.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the flour and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Whisk in the broth, cream and mustard.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Reduce for 3 minutes
Add the meatballs.
